Winston Churchill, Prime Minister of England during WWII became very popular for his motivational speeches to the English people.
On October 29, 1941 after the "Blitz" from the Nazi war machine, Churchill visited the Harrow School and gave one of his most passionate and quoted motivational speeches...
"But for everyone, surely, what we have gone through in this period -- I am addressing myself to the School -- surely from this period of ten months, this is the lesson:
Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never -- in nothing, great or small, large or petty-- never give in, except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy."
My iWitness...
I had a visit with three people yesterday that these words came to mind.
How bout you?
Been blitzed lately?
Been overwhelmed?
Been beaten down?
Been trampled over?
Been stomped on?
Feel like giving in?
Feel like giving up?
Feel like rolling over?
Feel like throwing in the towel?
Feel like raising the white flag?
Never give in.
Never give in.
Never,
Never,
Never,
Never...
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Shall Tribulation,
or Distress,
or Persecution
or Famine,
or Nakedness,
or Danger
or Sword?
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
For I am sure that
neither Death
nor Life
nor Angels
nor Rulers
nor Things Present
nor Things to Come
nor Powers
nor height
nor depth
nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us
from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord!"
(Romans 8. 35, 37-39)
Never give in and never give up!
Our God never gives up on us!
Let's not give up on Him...
Go get 'em!!
And that's my iWitness...
Laugh often and Fear not!
David!
