Scrapbook or Scrap heap?

My mom and my sister arrived yesterday from Lexington, Kentucky. They pulled into the driveway and the whole family was waiting for them, even the Lily the dog.
It wasn't long after a delicious dinner that the "old stories" started being bantered about. I remembered a story one way. Mom another... Mary Jo recounts it still another way.

My wife Julie is the scrapbook queen. After a couple of minutes she walked down the hallway and returned with the thick "Life of David Dendy" scrapbook that contains all sorts of photos, stories, letters, memorabilia and thousands of embedded memories.

For the next hour the dining room table was surrounded with laughter, lively conversation and love as story after story was recounted and relived.

My iWitness...

When was the last time you pulled out the old thick "Life of God" scrapbook called the Bible?

What are some of your favorite stories? Which ones do you love to read and recount?

The creation story...
Noah and the flood...
Moses and the burning bush...
The Ten Commandments...
The ten plagues and the parting of the Red Sea...
Samson and Delilah
David and Goliath
The 23rd Psalm...
Psalm 51
Jeremiah 29.11
Daniel in the lion's den
The birth of Jesus
Healing of the Paralytic - going through the roof!
The Good Samaritan
The Prodigal Son
Palm Sunday
The Last Supper
Jesus on the Cross
The Empty Tomb on Resurrection Sunday
The Ascension
and many many more...

Just make sure your Bible stays a "Scrapbook"
and doesn't get tossed into the "Scrap heap"...

And that's my iWitness...
Laugh often and fear not!
David!

"Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path." (Psalm 119.105)
